Dr. TJ Finlayson
Dr. TJ Finlayson graduated from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry in 2012. Following graduation, he proudly served for five years as a dentist in the U.S. Navy, where he gained valuable experience providing care to service members and their families. In 2017, Dr. Finlayson joined Belmont Ave Family Dental, where he continues to deliver high-quality, compassionate dental care to patients of all ages. He is passionate about helping people achieve healthy, confident smiles in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Outside of the office, Dr. Finlayson enjoys climbing mountains, skiing, hiking, and golfing. He treasures time spent with his wife, Breanna, and their three children, and he’s currently looking forward to taking up a new adventure—wingfoiling.
Dr. Dennis Marshall
Dr. Dennis Marshall received his dental education from the Oregon
Health Sciences University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1983,
after completing his undergraduate at BYU. He started his practice in
Hood River, 42 years ago. Dr. Marshall is a member of the American
Dental Association and the Mid-Columbia Dental Society.
He and his wife, Kellie have four sons, and one daughter and
nineteen grandchildren. Dr. Marshall has a passion for hunting and
fishing, with all the Marshall men, and his daughter. Dr. Marshall and
Kellie enjoy traveling to see their children / grandchildren, which are
spread out from here to the east coast, while also being active
members of their church.
Dr. Nathan Allen
Dr. Nathan Allen earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 2020. Since graduating, he has been serving the community of College Station, Texas, where he provides compassionate, comprehensive dental care with a focus on honest and long-term oral health. In addition to his work in private practice, Dr. Allen is passionate about using his skills to make a global impact. He organized and led a dental mission trip to the Dominican Republic, providing much-needed care to underserved communities and helping expand access to essential dental services. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Allen is excited to return home and continue building meaningful connections with his patients and community. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys powerlifting, riding his motorcycle, exploring the outdoors, and unwinding with his Nintendo Switch.
Krista – Practice Manager
Krista Charters began her career at the office in 1992, starting out as a dedicated dental assistant and now serving as the practice manager. With over three decades of experience, Krista is known for her warmth, professionalism, and commitment to both patients and her team. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, gardening, and exploring the outdoors on her e-bike. Krista especially loves visiting her two grandchildren who live in Alaska, where she never misses a chance for new adventures. And when she grows up, Krista jokes that she wants to be a travel agent—combining her love of people and passion for discovering new places.
Nikki - Administrative Assistant
Nikki Stembridge is a Columbia Gorge native with more than 20 years of experience as an administrative assistant. Known for her dedication, organization, and professionalism, she has built a strong career supporting teams and leaders across a variety of settings. Outside of work, Nikki is passionate about fitness, loves to travel, and treasures spending quality time with her family.
Gloria – Dental Assistant
Gloria Gamboa was born and raised in Hood River and brings a decade of experience in the dental field to her new role at Belmont Ave Family Dental. Gloria has quickly built a reputation for her warm personality, attention to detail, and dedication to patient care. Outside of work, Gloria is an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves exploring nature through hiking, biking, and traveling to national parks. Among her proudest adventures are hiking Half Dome in Yosemite National Park and summiting the tallest volcano in El Salvador. When she’s not on the trail, Gloria enjoys running and capturing the beauty of her travels through photography.
Dianna – Dental Assistant
Dianna Magana was born and raised in Hood River, where she developed a love for nature and an appreciation for her close-knit community. She joined Belmont Ave Family Dental earlier this year, and brings her warm, positive energy to both her team and the patients she helps care for. Outside of work, Dianna enjoys shopping, paddle boarding, and spending time outdoors. She also loves collecting medals—Dianna recently signed up for a half marathon and is excited to take on the challenge.
Sayra – Dental Assistant
Sayra Torres started her journey in the dental field six years ago as a sterile tech and has loved being part of the industry ever since. She joined the Belmont Avenue Family Dental team over a year ago and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and cared for every day. Sayra was born and raised right here in the Hood River valley and loves calling this beautiful place home. When she’s not at the office, you can usually find her driving around the gorge, exploring local art, or hiking one of the many scenic trails nearby.
Tami – Dental Hygienist
Tami Mallon Hukari has called Hood River County home her entire life—though she wasn’t born here, she feels deeply rooted in the community. She studied at Western Oregon University and Portland State University before completing her dental hygiene program at Mt. Hood Community College. Tami and her husband, Brian, a Hood River native, have two grown sons, Fletcher and Jackson. Together, they own and operate a fruit farm on the west side of Hood River. When she’s not working, Tami loves spending time outdoors—hiking the Gorge’s beautiful trails in the summer and skiing in the winter.
Vanessa – Dental Hygienist
Vanessa De Clue brings over seven years of experience in the dental field to her new role as hygienist in the Belmont Ave Family Dental Practice. A proud graduate of Mt. Hood Community College, she earned her degree in Dental Hygiene with an impressive 3.9 GPA, reflecting her commitment to excellence and patient care. Passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles, Vanessa is excited to be the newest member of the Belmont Ave Family Dental team. Outside of the dental office, she enjoys spending time outdoors camping, getting lost in a good book, and tackling creative DIY projects. Fun fact—Vanessa is double-jointed, a unique trait that never fails to surprise her friends and coworkers!
Heather – Dental Hygienist
Heather Walker graduated from the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Dental Hygiene program in 1997 and has been dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles ever since. She joined Belmont Ave Family Dental in 2019, originally working one day a week—her role has since grown to three and a half days per week as she’s become an integral part of the team. Outside the office, Heather enjoys an active lifestyle that includes mountain biking, running, walking, and camping. A passionate runner, she has completed nine marathons and continues to set new goals for herself. When she’s not outdoors, Heather loves cozying up with a good book and enjoying Broadway musicals.
